For Mallory and Ben, it was the perfect setting to gather their closest family and friends for an intimate mountain wedding surrounded by Colorado's natural beauty.
Nestled among alpine peaks just outside Breckenridge, Blue Lakes offers crystal-blue water, dramatic mountain views, and countless opportunities to experience the landscape from different perspectives. Around 30 guests stood together along the shoreline as Mallory and Ben exchanged vows beside the lake, creating a ceremony that felt simple, personal, and deeply connected to the environment around them.
One of my favorite things about Blue Lakes is the variety it offers for photos and video. Within a relatively small area, we moved between lakeside views, mountain backdrops, winding roads, and open alpine landscapes that each felt completely different from the last. Everywhere you look, Colorado seems to put on a different show.
What made this wedding especially memorable wasn't just the ceremony itself—it was the entire experience surrounding it. In the days leading up to the wedding, guests joined Mallory and Ben for hikes, time exploring Breckenridge, and quality time together in the mountains. Family and friends gathered at a shared Airbnb, creating space to slow down and enjoy the weekend rather than rushing through a single day of events.
After the ceremony, everyone returned to Breckenridge for a reception at Ollie's Pub & Grub. The relaxed atmosphere felt perfectly aligned with the spirit of the day—good food, cold drinks, and an evening spent celebrating with the people who had traveled from near and far to be there.
After a day immersed in Colorado's mountain scenery, it was the perfect place to gather, swap stories from the weekend's adventures, and continue the celebration late into the evening.
